… because we want to create community, and the quickest way to do that is by eating together. Our wine archive is Ursalzburg, the powerhouse of the house, a stylish wine warehouse, a former jazz cellar and a very special place with almost 700 years of history. It is particularly suitable for a celebration with friends, customers or employees. We have created five worlds of experience for those special evenings when you want to socialise with others.

For groups of 15 or more, please select one of our menus. We have listed them below. Please write to us at events@blauegans.at – Leila Joos will get back to you as soon as possible and add seasonal dishes and aperitif and wine recommendations to the menu.

Menu 1: ‘Dinner club’

Set meals in large groups are perceived as stiff. With our ‘Dinnerclub Menu’, a communal meal at large tables, we deliberately break down these boundaries. All dishes are served on platters, small plates or in bowls. You have to rely on the person next to you to pass you the sauce or even put the side dish on your plate.

For each other - with each other: a table community has been created! And the cool sound makes you want to party, even at our bar!

‘Menu 2: La Serenissima’

From Salzburg to Venice: in the 14th and 15th centuries, our founders travelled to the Serenissima, Venice, several times a year to sell silver and arsenic. On the return journey, citrus fruits, olive oil, wine, almonds, capers etc. and even oysters arrived in Salzburg.

We spare you the hardship of the journey and bring Venice to Salzburg - as a tribute to the adventurous journeys of our ancestors.

Menu 3: ‘Old Austria’

In 1816, the former prince-archbishopric of Salzburg was integrated into the Habsburg monarchy. Austria's culinary heritage and how we are seen by the world was formed primarily during this period.

A hot kettle of beef soup served with a succulent Tafelspitz is as much a contemporary experience as it is a throwback to the great Austrian cooking tradition at the imperial court. A historic event!

Menu 4 - ‘Baked chicken party’

Even if you're not sad at all, there's nothing more comforting than a basket of steaming fried chicken in crispy breadcrumbs and accompanied by a tangy potato salad.

A feast, if it's done right: In a bath of clarified butter, skinless and boneless, our fried chicken slowly floats towards its golden perfection.

Menu 5 - ‘Seasonal’

For last-minute requests or for all those who do not need to know immediately what we will be cooking, we also offer the option of a seasonal menu, as featured on our monthly changing menu.

Do you love fish, asparagus or chanterelles? Game or goose in winter? Do you fancy pumpkin soup or strawberries with your Grieschmarrn? As soon as our menu is finalised, we will be happy to make you an offer with seasonal delicacies. You can find the current menu here:

Finger food package at the Salzburg restaurant

Cichetti is a saying in Venice and means that these small bites do not count as food, they are only justified when accompanied by a glass of Prosecco or a Campari.

Cichetti are no substitute for a meal, but if there is no more time, they are serious harbingers of a hopefully eventful evening.
