GÄNSEHAUT-
magazine

Edition number 6
During the pandemic edition of Jazz&TheCity 2021, our house became a ‘jazz flat share’. The artists took over and flooded the house with inspiration and free spirit. For four days, guests and artists lived together under one roof, united by the joy of music and improvisation. We wanted to capture the theme: Based on the experiences of our flatmates, we have now shed light on the topic of improvisation from many different angles and allowed those for whom improvisation is not the exception, but the rule, to have their say.
With contributions from Claudia Röschl, Sebi Tramontana, Almut Kühne, Volker Götze and Helge Leiberg, among others. Editorial management: Bernie Ostertag. Graphic design: Christian Ospald.

Edition number 5
Happiness is the sum of a life’s meaningful moments, moments full of emotion in those situations in which we feel our humanity most intensely. So it’s high time we took a look in a GÄNSEHAUT magazine at what is known in marketing parlance as ‘moments of truth’ and which make our house, every house, special if it pays attention to them.

Edition number 4
With magazine 4, we leave the rooms of the Blue Gans and search for the question of what makes places special: how is a place defined, what determines its quality? Which places make a city attractive? Is where you arrive, in a hotel for example, a place, or even a ‘non-lieu’ according to Marc Augé? We take our readers on a cycling tour to hidden places and the great happiness in small things.
With contributions from Karl-Markus Gauss, Arno Geiger, Roman Höllbacher and Christian Prasser, among others. Editorial management: Karin Buchauer. Photos: Ingo Pertramer. Graphic design: Caro Schmid.

Edition number 3
An intensive remodelling project and the excavation of a cellar, which allowed us to reach layers dating back to Roman times, was the occasion for magazine number 3, and delving into the long history of the house gave us plenty of goosebumps. When you hold Terra Cotta shards in your hand, which found their way from Apulia to Salzburg 2,000 years ago, then awe is appropriate. We let the vibrations of the past meet those of today.
Editor-in-chief for this magazine: Karin Buchauer. Graphic design: Caro Schmid.

Edition number 2
It is a bow to those who are important sources of inspiration for us and a thank you to all those who find something meaningful in what we do. ‘Thank you for allowing us to live hospitality according to our own ideas.’
With contributions from Jonathan Meese, Klemens Renoldner, Siegfried Fruhauf, Julius Deutschbauer and others. Graphic design: Caro Schmid.

Edition number 1
Based on the idea that goosebumps are a physical resonance phenomenon, we have explored this concept on various levels. We asked guests and friends of the museum what vibrations can trigger a reaction in them. How did the Salzburg public react to art in public spaces? What does jazz have to do with the city? What does the city do with a newcomer like festival theatre director Thomas Oberender, who is also able to express his thoughts wonderfully in language?
With contributions from Thomas Oberender, Markus Hinterhäuser, Daniel Richter, Jochen Jung, Brigitta Falkner, and many more. Graphic design: Caro Schmid.
