How an old house became a new open space

When planning the new rooms, it was important to us to make the structure of the house, which has grown over centuries, visible and to strengthen the historical existence.
Old and new should be carefully combined with each other – without dramatic contrasts, but with courage, sensitivity and a pinch of humor.

Materials with an eventful life

Wood, stone, fabric, leather, … nature can be visible and age gracefully.
For this house, patina is not a flaw, but rather visible time.

The material should remain honest, not have to shine to show its value.

One house, many rooms

The Blue Goose has grown together from four historic houses over the centuries.
This history can still be felt today, in steps, vaults, passageways and different room heights that might be considered a break elsewhere, but are part of the identity here.
No two rooms are alike, not because of the staging, but because each one has its own story.

Collaboration & selected brands in-house

High-quality carpentry, natural materials and calm color schemes characterize the rooms, blue, gray and brown tones create depth, oak wood and stone provide structure.
Some rooms feel safe, others are more open and urban.
The result is not an interchangeable boutique hotel design, but rather an evolved spatial structure with its own character.
