For almost 700 years, people have laughed, celebrated and debated the future under our vaulted ceilings. We can therefore draw on extensive experience in organizing exclusive events or simply an intimate birthday bash. Family-style dining at long tables or perhaps a multi-course set menu? Product presentation, customer event? Transfers, flowers, music? Let us handle all the details. We’ll discuss the whole event with you from start to finish, and provide some suggestions on how we can turn your vision into reality. 670-YEAR-OLD WINE CELLAR
THE PERFECT EVENT VENUE
Our historical 14th century vaulted cellar, whose walls are constructed out of huge conglomerate stone blocks from the old quarry located opposite on the Mönchsberg, boasts rather an eventful history. For over 600 years, it served as a storehouse. Until the introduction of gas, it was a coal cellar; in the early years of the 20th century, it housed vegetables, fruit and a wine barrel; and in the 1970s it became a legendary jazz institution known as the Mexicano Cellar.

Family-Style
Today around 1,500 bottles of wine are stored behind a glass pane in front of a conglomerate stone wall. Together with the long table for 12 people, the wine bar and the precious STILLSEGLER tableware, the wine provides a stunning backdrop for “La Tavolata – the whole table a stage for culinary delights”.
Our wine archive offers space for up to 60 guests to celebrate a special birthday, a bespoke company event or conference, anniversaries, (Christmas) parties or any other occasion where you want to gather other people around you. It can’t get more stylish than this.
