Hip Side of Salzburg
Highly Interesting Point
You can find Mozart & friends quite easily without us. But where are the undiscovered trendy spots that are a bit more out of sight? The tips we have put together for you here will spur you on to explore the real Salzburg, away from all the clichés. The other side of the Mozartkugel, so to speak. Our staff are real lifestyle guides and will gladly point you to all the latest city hotspots. The town’s most interesting quarters are easily accessible either by our rented bikes or on foot. You won’t need a car while you’re with us; it will be parked safely in the Mönchsberg car park opposite.
OUR FAVOURITE RUNNING ROUTES
Although we are in the very heart of the old town, the most beautiful running routes start right on our doorstep. You don’t need a car to seek the great outdoors. On the contrary: In just a few minutes, the Salzach River takes you to gorgeous places.
We are particularly fond of two routes. Please come to reception, where we’ll be delighted to tell you where the “Blaue Gans running routes” lead to.
WALK OF MODERN ART
SZENE Salzburg
Just around the corner: SZENE offers a multi-faceted range of events such as dance, theatre, concerts, cabaret, club formats and dance evenings. When the annual “Sommerszene” comes around, extraordinary international artists from the fields of performance, dance, theatre, visual arts and music come to Salzburg. Even when there are no performances on, the SZENE is still a great place to hang out.
SALZBURG ART ASSOCIATION – KÜNSTLERHAUS
The Salzburg art association presents current trends in contemporary international art. The programme is guided by international standards and is an important pillar of the town’s contemporary art life.
ARGEkultur (ARGEculture)
ARGEkultur is Salzburg’s largest independent cultural centre. It serves as an organizer and producer for contemporary and innovative culture that takes a critical look at society. It is also a meeting point, workshop and workspace for current cultural creation in Salzburg.
