So what happens next?
It’s actually quite simple: you sit down at more or less long tables and start a conversation about God and the world – or listen to how someone else talks: about themselves, what moves them, what they hope for, what the future should be.
Talking to one another and exchanging ideas with others is something that people have probably always done in this house. With its 670-year history, the Blue Goose is an experienced contemporary witness. Our idea is that generations before us discussed their next steps in the inn, dreamed of the future and encouraged each other. After the first Corona lockdown, many people felt a strong need to put what they had experienced into words, to classify its meaning and to ask each other the question: “So what happens next?”
In the past, we had often held fun discussions with Karl-Markus Gauß, Thomas Macho, Lojze Wieser, and many more in the wine archive, a kind of wine cellar philosophy; What was new was that I conducted the conversations myself, not as an expert, but with interested questions, like a host does when he wants to get a conversation going and is interested in his guests having a good time. The conversations were also expanded into a podcast.
The really exciting thing about my job is meeting so many people with their topics, interests and models of explaining the world. I don’t even have to go outside the house, I just ask with interest and we’re off on an exploration of the inner landscapes of my guests.
