The Altstadtpraxis is just round the corner in Münzgasse. There are also many specialists nearby – please enquire at reception. There are three hospitals nearby: the Barmherzige Brüder hospital in the old town, the accident hospital and the state hospitals are just a few minutes away.

Garden

A Blaue Gans open air experience, to be enjoyed between a stroll through the old town and a visit to the Salzburg Festival. Our outdoor restaurant is an urban oasis where you can soak up a Mediterranean ambience. Moreover, it boasts a spectacular view of the Mönchsberg, the Pferdeschwemme (ancient horse well) and the Festspielhaus (Festival Hall). Weather permitting, open from 12 noon to 11 p.m., Sundays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. (except during the Salzburg Festival).

Hospital

Three hospitals are close by: the Barmherzige Brüder hospital in the old town, the accident hospital and the state hospitals in Mülln are just a few minutes away.

Hungry?

The restaurant offers food from Monday to Saturday from 12 noon to 10 p.m.. The restaurant is closed on Sundays, except during festival times. Would you like to enjoy drinks and meals in the comfort of your room? The room service menu is available both in your room and in the digital guest directory. Orders can be placed by telephone on 54.

Ice cubes

We will be happy to bring them to your room. Select the 50 to order them or collect them personally from the restaurant.

Jogging

You can start your jogging route directly at the hotel, either choosing the city hills or following the River Salzach. Alternatively, hire a running coach who will accompany you along the Blaue Gans route. This is a great way to get to know the modern art featured in various public spaces.

Laundry

Our chambermaids will be happy to do your laundry for you. The appropriate bag and the list are in your wardrobe. Please give us a quick call (telephone number 50) and we will collect it from your room, or you can hand it in at reception on the way out. This service is subject to a charge.

Luggage

We will be happy to store your luggage in the luggage room at reception after check-out. If your luggage didn’t make it to Salzburg with you, we have first responders in our magic box at reception.

Non-smoking hotel

With us you stay in a smoke-free room. Smoking in our hotel is only possible in the garden in the smoking lounge. If you still smoke in your room, you will incur additional costs for special cleaning of the room.

Parking

We recommend parking in Terminal A of the Altstadtgarage in the Mönchsberg. If you take the Getreidegasse exit, you are practically in front of the hotel. Please take the entry ticket with you and keep it safe. You will need it to leave the car park.

You will receive a special Blue Goose rate of € 19,90 (instead of € 24,20) for the 24-hour parking ticket in the Altstadtgarage. Payment will be made via your hotel bill. Our reception team will be happy to provide you with further information.

If we park your car for you, we charge a service fee of € 10 per journey.

Charging stations for electric cars can be found in the Altstadtgarage Terminal B.

Payment options

Use your personal guest folder to pay your bill online at any time and check out without having to wait at reception. You will also receive an overview of your invoices and can send them by e-mail. You will find the link to your personalised guest portal in your booking confirmation or pre-check-in email.

Alternatively, you can also pay your bills directly at reception.

Our team at reception will be glad to print your train and flight tickets or anything else. Please send your document via email to office@blauegans.at.

Reading room

Slow hotel, urban hideaway: Situated in the inner courtyard on the first floor, this peaceful retreat can be used to while away the time or read the papers after breakfast. We also have a collection of Salzburg literature as well as European literature, coffee-table books, art catalogues, lifestyle magazines. Free tea bar.

Should you encounter the notorious weather phenomenon, the “Salzburg drizzle”, umbrellas are provided in your room as well as at reception. And if you find you don’t want to part with it, you can simply buy it for € 19.
