Further information
Basic hygiene measures and regulations

To disinfect hands, a hand sanitizer from our in-house cosmetics brand “Saint Charles Apotheke” is available in the entrance area.

We wish to point out that handshakes and physical contact between staff and guests should be avoided.

We make sure that all rooms are aired on a regular basis, supplying our restaurant and hotel areas with fresh air several times a day.

Guest information:

Our staff are direct contact persons for our guests. They will update you on current measures and provide any important information.

Staff and special cleaning measures

Staff training & internal hygiene procedures:

Our staff are regularly trained on all hygiene regulations and measures, paying particular attention to hand hygiene and how to avoid contracting Covid-19. They have also been given all the relevant documentation.

Moreover, the firm Hagleitner provides regular training. During these training sessions, the steps necessary for proper deep cleaning are documented and employees sign to confirm they have understood. We have a strict hygiene protocol. Our staff are constantly updated regarding proper and regular cleaning and disinfection of all surfaces, regular ventilation, personal protective equipment and appropriate conduct.

This enables them to pass on all important information to our guests.

Apart from the shared surfaces in the public hotel and restaurant area, all surfaces in the internal area and staff rooms are cleaned and disinfected at regular intervals.

Daily routine:

Our staff are requested to carefully clean and disinfect their hands before and after starting work, after using the toilet, before and after eating, and several times during working hours. All staff are instructed to air rooms on a regular basis.

Enhanced deep cleaning measures for public areas:

High-touch surfaces such as door and window handles, light switches, handrails, etc. are cleaned and disinfected at regular intervals.

General sanitary facilities and in particular operating buttons such as toilet flush buttons, taps, fittings and doorknobs are also cleaned and disinfected at regular intervals.

Sufficient soap required for handwashing as well as disposable hand towels are provided in the sanitary facilities.

Hand sanitizers to disinfect hands are available at the entrance area of the hotel, the restaurant and in all toilets.

We ensure regular ventilation or keep doors open to ensure a good circulation of air.

Ball-point pens, keys and key cards are disinfected before handing them over and after they have been returned.

When performing daily cleaning, we make sure that cleaning cloths are changed and gloves are disinfected after leaving each room.

Enhanced deep cleaning measures for the individual living areas/rooms:

Rooms are aired regularly while being cleaned.

After a guest’s departure, the room is cleaned with utmost care to make it ready for the next guest, paying particular attention to disinfect high-touch objects such as remote controls, handles, touch screens and light switches.

Decorative objects that are difficult to clean have been removed from the rooms.

When performing daily cleaning, we make sure that cleaning cloths are changed and gloves are disinfected after leaving each room.

Beverages that are in the room’s mini bar are carefully cleaned after each departure.

Measures in the event that a guest experiences COVID-19 symptoms

The COVID-19 virus can have different effects on people. Most people infected with COVID-19 experience mild to moderate symptoms and recover without having to go to hospital.

Mild symptoms include: fever, dry cough, fatigue, difficulty breathing or shortness of breath, pain or feeling of pressure in your chest.

Rare symptoms: loss of taste or smell, sore throat, diarrhoea, conjunctivitis, headache, muscle or body aches, discoloration on fingers or toes or rash.

If a guest develops symptoms, we ask them not to leave their room and to inform our team at reception. We will contact Health Counselling and clarify which further steps need to be taken.

None of our staff will enter the room of the isolated guest and will communicate with the guest only via telephone.

If the guest has arrived with other people, they will be given a separate room, if possible.

Guests will be provided with food and beverages via room service. Food, drinks, plates and cutlery will be placed on a service cart, positioned outside the room and picked up again from there. Wearing gloves, the dirty dishes will be put into the dishwasher and washed immediately.

Great care will be taken to ensure that the service cart is cleaned and disinfected properly.

Housekeeping will provide the guest with clean laundry that will be placed, together with supplies such as toilet paper and tissues, into a basket and also put outside the door. To return the dirty laundry, the guest will be given a large rubbish bag to fill with dirty laundry. The guest will then close it and put it outside their room to be collected by Housekeeping.

In addition, our staff must observe all instructions with regard to handling contaminated laundry and making sure that it is ready for pickup by the linen rental company.

In case of a positive test result, the competent health authorities will decide how to proceed and will provide a written notification comprising further instructions.

Depending on the severity of the disease, a decision will be made as to whether the guest needs to be hospitalized or quarantined. It is reasonable to assume that people who have been travelling with the infected guest must also undergo a test.

In the event of a particularly severe case of the COVID-19 disease, the District Administrative Authority may instruct us that certain rooms need to be disinfected by the authorities. If it is not necessary for the authorities to disinfect the rooms, the hotel must make sure that surfaces are thoroughly disinfected when cleaning the room.

“GUESTS OFTEN TELL ME THAT THEY FEEL AT HOME WITH US. FOR ME, THIS IS THE GREATEST COMPLIMENT.”
